10/4/2019 I’m Back!

Turns out when your team sucks it’s hard to get motivated to write about football. (looks back at the season predictions) Hey! we already jumped to week 14! But Doug, aren’t you feeling better after last week? No. Rutgers isn’t a real Big Ten team. They’re hardly good enough to be a MAC team… Maybe not even a football team… I’m pretty sure The Lahser Knights could beat Rutgers… And they’re a high-school team… that doesn’t even exist anymore… The only thing Rutgers can do well is lose Heisman candidate running backs to other Big Ten Schools. Nothing about a performance against Rutgers is indicative of your team’s ability to football in any other game of football*

9/20/2019 – Stop It!

Well now that the first three weeks are over let’s see how I did… Michigan wins but the fan base is still BPONEd* -checkish more on that later. Illinois lost eliminating a bunch of people, check. MSU… we’ll get to that. The #TeamChaos prediction was wrong for 2 reasons.. A. Ohio State changed which week they decided to get drunk and not show up just to spite me… and 2. We have a new #TeamChaos! So… Let’s get after it!

12/5/2018 Part 2… More Michigan

Back to the offense for a minute:  I admit that earlier in the season I was one of the idiots bitching about the boring offense (especially during Northwestern and MSU).  In fact I think my dad was getting a bit annoyed by my comments and may have “politely” and possibly correctly asked me to shut up*.  And while I would still like to see more down field attempts and some creativity… Here was the key difference in our mindsets.  He wanted to win.  I wanted to win by 50.  I was wrong. 11/9/2018 James Franklin and Paul Chryst

And we’re back!  Where were we?  Oh right… my two favorite non-khaki wearing FBS Head Football Coaches.  Let me start out with this: Paul Chyrst and James Franklin are excellent coaches.  Chryst has won back to back Big Ten Coach of the year awards at Wisconsin in 2016 and 2017.  He split the title in 2017 with… guess who… James Franklin.  Wisconsin was excellent last year and should have been even better this year.  One disappointing season (They could still end up with 10 wins) does not change my opinion* of your coaching ability.  James Franklin took over a program that should have been all but dead after the biggest scandal in NCAA history**  He turned that program in a team that won the Big Ten in 2016, and should have won in 2017 and should have gone to the playoffs at least one of those years.  They are both good coaches. 11/7/2018 – Do You Ever Wonder Why We’re Here?

Hey! It isn’t plagiarism* if you can’t tell which of the many possible sources I stole it from!**  Anyway… I hope you all enjoyed last week’s new content type!  Sorry it took so long… I had to re-learn how to use Photoshop (actually Gimp because I’m cheap… Donate more money and I’ll be able to afford the real thing!)  Also I had to learn how to draw.  I’ve got some more ideas for comics and/or comic related t-shirts so stay tuned for that!  But for now: let’s return to your regularly scheduled rant!
