I mean… I know I said* this in the last post but…
Here is a “Highlights” video from the official BTN Youtube channel that I have timestamped (3:20) to the Flea Flicker that Michigan State ran for a touchdown against Rutgers last weekend.
Here is the same video that some guy with a Florida Gators avatar and a time machine, apparently, clipped and posted a week earlier.
Both teams sucked last year. Both teams were supposed to suck this year.** Both teams have excellent running back(s). Both teams have 2 total interceptions on the year. Both teams have a QB who at times can hit pin-point deep balls and seem just on the edge of good but I mean, come on, history exists and says that this is a fluke and/or they’re about to get murdered right before a big game. Both defenses are GREATLY exceeding pre-season expectations. So yeah… when Oct 30th comes around both teams should wear Spiderman Halloween costumes, walk out to the 50 yard line, and point at each other for 60 minutes. I’d be entertained…
Now let’s move on to what everybody coming to read a amateur football blog really cares about: hockey***. Michigan Hockey just started and maaaan is this season gonna suck… For those of you not paying attention: Here is where the first five picks of the 2021 NHL draft are playing this year: 1. The University of Michigan 2. The University of Michigan 3. Somewhere else 4. The University of Michigan 5. The University of Michigan. #1,#2,#4* and #5 OVERALL picks in the NHL 2021 Draft played for Michigan. And All 4 elected to RETURN! No other school has ever even had players go #1 and #2 let alone have 4 of the top 5! This is the most talented college hockey team of all time. But… You said this season is going to suck?! Yeah! because I’m super pumped up about it! and you should be too! But all that means is that the first time they lose I’m going to be really pissed off! And the Big Ten is good so they’re not going to go undefeated. And anything less than a National Championship is going to be a disappointment… and hockey is weird so odds of that happening is still relatively small. You’re hopeless. Why do you even watch sports? To keep you existing? … You’re a good friend. I can’t help it. It’s a problem.

**The level of suck is relative here… Michigan was supposed to have 7-8 wins… MSU was… not. No disrespect, just… bad 2020 + new coach + COVID + bare cupboards after Dantonio left.
